Insightly Opportunities Analysis Dashboard

This dashboard provides a detailed breakdown of key data sets from an Insightly CRM integration. With this dashboard, sales managers can answer the following questions:

What are the team's total sales and average sale value?

What is the sales team's win rate?

Which sales reps have closed the largest sales?

What is the percentage of opportunities in each status of the sales pipeline?

Track Sales Opportunities from Insightly CRM

With this Insightly dashboard, sales team leaders can assess a wide variety of metrics and KPIs concerning their sales pipeline and their top-performing team members.

The Representatives multiselect dropdown at the start of the dashboard lets users filter which data is plotted throughout the rest of the dashboard. Information from all, most, some, or just one sales rep can be visualized as necessary.

The Total Sales, Average Sale Size, and Sales Cycle Length cards provide top-level KPIs for sales team leaders to instantly assess the success of their teams. They can use this information to determine whether current sales strategies are effective or if new approaches may be needed to increase average sale size and decrease sales cycle length. Another KPI in this Insightly dashboard, the win rate, is visualized in a radial gauge, providing another data point useful for understanding the current success of the sales team. All these KPIs can be further utilized to set achievement goals for the sales team.

Comprehensive Sales Pipeline Overview

Several visualizations allow sales managers perform one of their essential functions: ensuring their team has a healthy bunch of leads in their pipeline to pursue. The Sales Pipeline funnel chart shows the percentage of opportunities in each stage of the sales process, from prospecting, to qualification, to negotiation.

With this information, sales team leaders can know where they may need to intervene by identifying which stages have an outsized share of opportunities. When too many opportunities require analysis, they can ask for additional help from other teams in the company or assign sales reps who have fewer opportunities at the time. If too many opportunities are stuck in the negotiation phase, they can step in to close on the final details to secure the win.

A useful companion visualization to the Sales Pipeline chart in the Insightly dashboard is the Opportunities by State doughnut chart, which breaks down the number of opportunities won, suspended, open, lost, and abandoned. Sales team leaders can use it to make sure the proportion of lost and abandoned opportunities isn’t getting out of hand, and that the proportion of won opportunities is growing steadily.

Furthermore, the Lost Opportunities by Reason doughnut chart in the Insightly dashboard breaks down why opportunities were lost, giving sales managers a springboard for further interrogation to mitigate future losses. They can see whether opportunities were lost because of limited budgets on the part of the buyer, changes in customer preferences, or customers choosing a competing product. This information can be used to inform sales strategies and even product development, helping correct the balance of lost opportunities.

Identify Potential Revenue

Two more visualizations in the Insightly dashboard provide additional analysis on sales opportunities. Sales team leaders can use the Top 5 Won Opportunities by Value bar chart for considering which customers may be quality candidates for further sales in the future. The Opportunity Value by State bar chart is similar to the previous Opportunities by State doughnut chart. The bar chart recontextualizes the breakdown of opportunities in each status to reveal the revenue currently unrealized. This data can be used to ensure that lost and abandoned opportunities aren’t getting out of hand. It can also be used to signal when opportunities in a suspended state should be pursued again.

For the deepest level of detail on sales opportunities, leaders can consult the Opportunities Summary Overview data grid in the Insightly dashboard. This grid lists the information of every opportunity, including is stage, state, and value. When an interesting data point appears in another dashboard widget, sales leaders can refer to this grid to better understand the circumstances that produced it.
