Use filters to view only relevant data

One of the most important features of any dashboard is the ability to display only necessary information. By selecting an option from the Products dropdown at the top of the visualized Shopify integration, store managers can filter the data visualized throughout the dashboard by precisely as many or as few products as they need.

To further filter the data displayed, users can choose a time frame from the Dates picker. The picker includes built-in options for the previous 7, 15, and 30 days, as well as an option to set a custom date range using a pair of calendar-style date pickers. This allows any user to interrogate data from any time period. They can evaluate strategic performance of past decisions and use past data to inform current decisions.

Measure Success with Sales widgets

The Shopify dashboard puts bottom-line sales metrics front and center in the Total Sales and Total Orders cards. With these, shop owners can know if they’ve hit their sales and order goals at a glance.

To gain a better understanding of why the sales and orders numbers are what they are, the dashboard provides a very handy column chart that compares the shop’s prices with competitor prices for each product. Being able to set prices competitively helps make sales numbers and profit margins sustainable for the business. Furthermore, users of this Shopify dashboard can consult the Sales by Country map to know what geographic areas are responsible for the most sales. They can use this information to create marketing campaigns that target the best-selling regions to acquire more business.

The Customer Trend Analysis chart provides an easy way to evaluate the number of customers over the last 15 days. This information can be used to visualize sales momentum, and also signal the need to establish a special offer or discount if sales are lagging.

Investigate Shopify inventory metrics

Managing inventory is just as important as making sales. To assist in keeping the right amount of inventory on hand, the Shopify dashboard provides several widgets to keep shop owners from having unnecessary storage expenses. The sell-through rate KPI shows the ratio of inventory sold versus inventory acquired. This KPI is visualized in a gauge that makes it easy to see what its status is, giving shop owners instant feedback on their inventory management. A pair of cards provide an additional inventory metric and a KPI: average inventory and stock-to-sales ratio.

Another inventory-tracking widget is the Estimated vs. Actual Sales by Product column chart, which shows how well inventory levels and sales match on a product-by-product basis. Finally, the Stock Availability by Product bar chart indicates what items are on hand and need to be sold. Like the previously mentioned Sales by Country map, this bar chart can also be used to inform marketing strategies that increase sales and decrease excess inventory.

With this dashboard’s variety of colorful, intuitive visualizations, shop owners can stay on top of what sells best and what inventory needs a different sales strategy.
