Spark data insights using
meaningful visuals

Bold BI’s data visualization library provides a rich set of widgets, each designed to represent data in a meaningful manner. Empower your users with a visualization experience that will help them connect with and understand the data intuitively.

Comparison Charts

Comparison Charts

Comparison charts include bar, column, stacked bar, stacked column, 100% stacked bar, 100% stacked column, and radar polar charts. These charts can be used when comparing values such as sales information from the previous year against sales information from the current year.

Proportion Charts

Proportion charts include pie, doughnut, pyramid, and funnel charts. These charts are typically used to show relative proportions, such as comparing the sales of different types of apparel when analyzing sales for a retailer.

Distribution Charts

Distribution Charts

This category includes area, stacked area, 100% stacked area, line, spline, and spline area chart types. These charts are used to analyze data distribution over time and to better understand outliers, trends, and the range of data values.

Combination Chart

A combination chart, also known as a combo chart, helps you visualize two different but related measurements that have different ranges of values represented in two different axes.

Tables

Tables

Visuals like the grid and pivot grid let you visualize data in tabular and cross-tabular forms.

Maps

The map visualizations include basic maps and Bing Maps. Basic maps are used to represent data by geographic entities based on color, scale, and bubble size. An example would be the display of city- or state-specific sales. Basic maps come with predefined map information for most of mapping needs. Bing Maps are used to represent data based on specified latitude and longitude units. An example would be the location of retail stores in a state.

Relationship

Relationship Visuals

Relationship visuals include a treemap and a heatmap. The treemap is used to represent large data sets by depicting the relationship between elements of hierarchical data in the form of nested rectangles. The heatmap is used to represent large data sets depicting the relationship between values of two different categories in the form of colored boxes in a matrix.

Indicators

Indicators such as KPI card, number card, and radial gauge are used to represent one qualitative metric, the difference between two different metrics during same period, or the same metric at two different times.

Objects

Objects

Text and image are simple objects designed to support other visualization widgets in the dashboard. Text is used to present detailed information in a dashboard in rich text format. Images are stored visuals that can be read from a file or database.

Filters

Filters include the list box, combo box, range slider, date picker, period over period, and range navigator. These filter widgets allow end users to dynamically interact with visualization widgets and view the filtered data in one or more combinations.
