Syncfusion at Global AI Bootcamp 2019
Syncfusion® co-sponsored the Global AI Bootcamp that happened in Chennai on Dec. 14. The event was a huge success. Techies from different companies arrived at the venue as early as 8:30 a.m., in spite of the rain, and 95% of them were present until the close of the event at 5:30 p.m. We were impressed at the level of interest in learning shown by this 190+ developer audience!

The event started with a keynote address and proceeded with mind-blowing sessions by experts. For the PowerPoints and step-by-step tutorials from the sessions and workshops, check out this GitHub repo.
I had the pleasure of presenting a session myself.
I presented a talk about how Azure Synapse Analytics is going to play a major role in machine learning-related use cases. I demonstrated using a real-time Bold BI dashboard showcasing the sentiment score (positive, neutral, negative) of tweets posted by an audience with event hashtags #GlobalAIBootcamp and #GaibChennai. Coming to the tech stack, I used the following:
- Data Integration Platform to gather tweets.
- Azure Cognitive Service – Text Analytics to analyze the sentiment score of the X (formerly Twitter) tweets.
- Bold BI for the dashboard.

Kudos to our UX team for their “never stop learning” tagline T-shirt, which the audience was really excited about. Also fun were the Amazon gift card giveaways via a raffle, certificates, and other goodies.
“I felt humbled” would be an understatement. What an audience! This was the best way to end the year 2019. My thanks to the amazing set of volunteers and speakers who made this event a great success.
