TX-RAMP Level 2

Bold BI maintains TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification. The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) is a program managed by the Texas Department of Information Resources. Specifically, TX-RAMP reviews the security controls of cloud products and services that transmit data to or on behalf of Texas state agencies. Cloud providers must comply with the applicable TX-RAMP framework and complete continuous monitoring requirements to maintain certification.

What is TX-RAMP?

It is a program managed by the Texas DIR that reviews and monitors security measures taken by cloud providers.

Section 2054.0593(a) defines cloud computing services as having the meaning assigned by Special Publication 800-145 issued by the US Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology. This definition includes SaaS products within scope. As Bold BI is a SaaS product, we fall under the scope of TX-RAMP’s definition of ‘cloud provider.’

Bold BI maintains a TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification. This is the minimum level required for cloud computing services that may process, store, or transmit any state agency data which has been determined to be confidential or have a moderate to high impact information resource.
