Important Note

Deployment

  • The Kubernetes community has officially announced that Ingress-NGINX will be retired in March 2026, after which it will no longer receive releases, bug fixes, or security updates. Customers currently using Bold BI in Kubernetes deployments with NGINX Ingress are strongly advised to migrate to the Traefik load balancer to ensure continued support, security, and compatibility by following the KB document below: https://support.boldbi.com/agent/kb/22687

Embedding

Known Issues

Designer

  • Due to security improvements in Azure Maps key storage existing Azure Maps configurations from v14.2 will not function after upgrade. The Azure Maps key must be reconfigured from Site Settings → Widgets in Bold BI Server.

IDP

Localization

  • Localization file upload is not supported when the application is configured with cloud storage providers such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob, or OCI Object Storage.

Kubernetes

  • In Kubernetes deployments, Persistent Volumes are mandatory when using Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage, whereas Persistent Volumes are not required when using OCI Object Storage.

Windows Expression

  • In Windows environment if website has both HTTP and HTTPS bindings with different domains, accessing the HTTP address will trigger an automatic redirect to the HTTPS with the same domain. This can cause failures if HTTPS is not properly configured for that domain.
  • In Windows environment removing the application configured IIS domain/port binding may make the application inaccessible, since internal communication between the Bold BI services depend on that URL.
